Atrocious
Atrocious. Experience.
I invited my stepson to visit England for the first time in his life. I bragged how good Five Guys burgers were and took him to Trafford Centre to get the full experience.

What a disaster. They got the order so wrong that I couldn't be bothered waiting 15 minutes before complaining to the manager as it was too embarrassing.
The burgers, post Covid, appear to have shrivelled in size while the prices have gone up.

It appears that there is little effort applied to caring about the quality anymore,in making the burger up. I used to joke that MacDonalds staff throw their burger ingredients across the kitchen to each other before sending it out to customers.

This apathy seems to have set in at Five Guys also. The burgers used to arrive hot, large and full of extras; sadly this was not the case. I was a major fan but now I'd rather have Burger King because at least their sizes remain the same: large bun, it always was.

FG buns are different. They are smaller and get soggy quickly.

Ignoring the mistakes with the order, staff are slow, food gets cold before collection and then we get smacked with a £50 bill for 3 shoddily hashed burgers and a drink apiece. I can go to MacDonalds and get that service for under £10 so I'm not paying £50 for 3 burgers, because the service is slaying support for 5 Dudes.

Contacted customer services and they issued a 3 burger freebie. Pity that they didn't do what I asked, which was reimburse my money like I asked, offer the exact same meal for free as compensation for the lost time, wasted journey from Sweden to enjoy these amazing burgers, or even something to improve our experience. No, just 3 burgers. And they were crappy too, in my opinion.

We went to Birmingham and FG there were almost as bad. Cold food thrown at the buns, stuffed into foil with missing ingredients and also stuffed the order up. Now I'm fed up because they refused to accept the voucher sent by email and still got most things wrong including forgetting a 3 burger order is not meant to have only 2 burgers.

My Five Guys addiction has ended. Would I go to Bullring Five Guyz again? Not by choice. There's better places out there for less with better satisfaction... Like Shake Shack

Overpriced and very average food
Overpriced and very average food. Not worth it. I asked for mustard on my cheeseburger and it was very vinegary and spoilt the flavour. I won't be going back

WOMEN and CHILDREN…
WOMEN and CHILDREN BEWARE,!!!!!!!!,,,,,,,,,,I got hit on by the cashier Andrew Logan. He asked if I want to come to this apartment after work and give him oral sex "head". I was in shock. I filed a complaint on the guy and he still is working at this location. After I did some research online I found out that he's a registered sex offender and the manager is related to him that's why they let him get away with this behavior.

£16 for a cheeseburger and fries with a water in Gloucester branch. Friendly staff and quick service but certainly nothing to justify that price. Small burger (like really small), small cup of fries, not sure why they charge so much.

Ordered hot dog with trimmings
Ordered hot dog with trimmings. Food was cold. Trimmings difficult to find. Bland tasting hot dog. Chips very cold and too salty. Not worth 50p let alone £8.50 it cost. This is the new Cheshunt branch.

Overpriced and a bit dull
1st and definitely last time visit for me, St Albans store.

£18 for Burger, fries and a soft drink. Expensive as I expected it would be, but figured quality would be worth it. Was disappointed.

Food was nothing better than OK - just average at best. Burger was very well done and over cooked for my taste so found it dry. Fries also over browned and way too salty. A home cooked Costco burger is way more tasty.

Coke zero from self serve machine was overly watery - at almost £3 I want perfection!

Kinda happy to have tried it - but believe me you are in no way missing out on anything if you've not.

Only reasons for elevating from 1 to 2 stars are:
Service was friendly and good
Burger toppings (bacon and cheese all the way) are fairly good.

Shocking
The price is ridiculous. Had a bacon dog that was cremated and the hotdog was out of a jar and stuck in a 99p finger roll. Never again.

Have enjoyed Five Guys as they've taken the middle ground between McD's cheap burgers and restaurant quality.
But recently have noticed that their patties are much smaller, presumably they've opted for this strategy rather than up their price. Personally, I think that's a mistake as I preferred the earlier size. Also noticed that their peanuts have not returned since the pandemic. Definitely limiting my purchases from now

For several years I have been a loyal…
For several years I have been a loyal customer to Five Guys UK, spent £1000's over the years in various cities and towns. Recently I took a friend to the High Wycombe Store, it was a birthday treat and to introduce him to Five Guys.

During ordering I was informed the milkshake machine was not working, I was going to walk out but as it was a Birthday treat and the fact we've just driven 20 miles we carried on ordering. So instead I asked for a cup to fill up with drinks from the Soda machine. One machine was not working, the other only had Coke available all the other drinks was not available.

No peanuts available either

Burgers arrived with the wrong fillings and both contained Mushroom and my friend was allergic to them, so he picked them out including other bits he hadn't requested. I quietly spoke to the staff about all the drinks not been available and was advised the milkshake machine had been out of order for over a week!! What an absolute shambles, Milkshakes are the main reason we went to Five Guys. The staff just did not care, they seemed totally disinterested and the amount of chips they gave us was tiny. I came out of the store still hungry.

After extensive research no telephone number exists online for Five Guys UK, it's clear they ignore our reviews here and don't want to talk to the people who keep them in business. I shouldn't have to waste 30 minutes of my life messing around writing emails via their website when I was born WITH A MOUTH to talk!

Response came back from the customer service team after emailing the Managing Director, asking for a copy of the receipt and since then heard nothing!!

No compensation, no goodwill gesture absolutely nothing. £32 wasted.

I'm done with you Five Guys, if this is the way you treat your loyal customers you can do one, I hope as the cost of living kicks in you go down in history as a failed fast food joint that simply does not put it's customers first.
